Grandparents Day Postponed Until Spring
With the current construction project and improvements being made to Rackers Fieldhouse now not scheduled to be completed until early December, the Foundation for the Benefit of Helias Catholic High School, along with the school’s administration has determined it necessary to postpone this year’s Grandparents Day Mass & luncheon until Thursday, April 27, 2023. While we regret having to postpone one of our favorite events of the year, we are excited that unlike the past two years when Covid forced us to cancel the event, this year we have a makeup date in place during this same academic year.
With the new date for Grandparents Day being set for the spring, we have decided to re-open the online information portal on the Foundation’s website (https://www.heliasfoundation.org/content/events/grandparentsday/INFO-FORM.ASPX), so that parents may still be able to pre-register grandparents who are interested in attending the event. Grandparents who have already been pre-registered will remain pre-registered for the new event date. Please be aware that the online form must be filled out and submitted by December 31, 2022. If grandparents aren’t pre-registered online, they will not receive a formal invitation. Because we are limited to 700 guests, we will not accept any more pre-registrations after December 31, 2022. Grandparents who are pre-registered will begin receiving formal invitations in the mail after March 8, 2023. On March 27, 2023, the Grandparents Day RSVP portal will open on the Foundation website, and we will begin accepting reservations and full payment (not before 8:00 a.m.) on a first-come-first-served basis until we reach 700 paid-in-full grandparents/students, at which point the portal will close automatically.
