Grandparents Day

  • The information you are providing on the online form below will be used to mail formal invitations to the grandparents you have listed.
  • If you do not fill out this form online and submit by the deadline date, your child’s grandparent(s) will NOT receive an invitation for Grandparents Day 2024. UPDATE: If you were unable to fill out the form below before the deadline, please contact the Foundation office either by phone (573-635-3808) or by email (info@heliasfoundation.org) to add your Helias student’s grandparents’ names to our list so that they may still receive an invitation. Receiving a formal invitation does NOT guarantee attendance for anyone listed – it simply ensures that they have the opportunity to pay for their reservation when the RSVP/Payment portal opens on Thursday, November 7 at 8:00 a.m. (Please see message and instructions below.)
  • The Foundation will hand out luncheon tickets on the morning of Grandparents Day (Thursday, November 21, 2024) to the grandparents and students who were in the first 500 RSVP’s paid in full online. See message and instructions below.

VERY IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ MESSAGE BELOW!

Dear Helias Families,

During the winter of 2018 the Jefferson City Fire Department visited Helias Catholic to conduct a code assessment linked to the occupancy of our gym and fieldhouse, particularly when it comes to events that we host involving tables, chairs, and food service. The outcome of this assessment was the establishment of maximum occupancy table seating numbers for our gym and fieldhouse. We are now only allowed to seat a maximum of 573 persons at tables in the gym and 604 in the fieldhouse.

However, construction currently taking place at Helias Catholic High School has unfortunately forced us to further reduce those numbers due to decreased parking availability and limited external access to the gym and fieldhouse. Because of the construction and reduced parking, this year’s Grandparents’ Day event will be held solely inside Rackers Fieldhouse and will be limited to a maximum of 500 attendees (grandparents AND students). Unlike years past, there will be no seating in the auxiliary gymnasium, nor in the foyer area between the gym and the fieldhouse.

ALL reservations and payment (for both grandparents AND students) must be made online at the same time via the Foundation website (www.heliasfoundation.org). We will open the Grandparent Day reservations portal on the Foundation website and begin accepting reservations along with full payment at 8:00 a.m. (and not before) on Thursday, November 7, 2024 on a first come, first served basis. Once 500 grandparents and students have rsvp’d with payment in full the Grandparent Day RSVP portal will shut down automatically and we will not be able to accept any additional reservations. The Foundation staff and volunteers will distribute luncheon tickets for those 500 paid-in-full grandparents and students on the morning of Grandparents Day (Thursday, November 21, 2024).

Thank you for your understanding in this matter. Please know that we wish to make the Grandparents’ Day celebration a joyous and successful event, but our hands are tied in the matter of maximum seating. If you have any questions, please contact the Foundation office.
